- About us -

The Hampton Repair Workshop was established in 2001 by Leonard Lamprell. Leonard has been a musician for over 30 years and built his first guitars in the early 1980's, his real passion though has always been for repair and restoration and to this end he began L A Guitars in Ayr,  Scotland in 1991. Having been an accomplished sax player for nearly 20years Leonard sought to expand the business to include woodwind instruments and moved to London to study Woodwind design and construction at London Guildhall University. During this time Leonard met his wife, Anju and settled in Hampton. After several years working from a well known London city centre music shop, tired of commuting, he set up business at his well equipped workshop facility at the rear of his home in Hampton.

Leonard has a wealth of experience and knowledge built up over thirty years in music and as always, the emphasis of the business is on customer service and high quality repairs at reasonable rates.

The workshop is situated on Hampton Hill High Street, Southwest London. Easily accessible by road rail and even air being just off the M3/A316 main routes to the M25 and the centre of London, a 10mt walk from Fulwel mainline station to Waterloo and only a stones-throw from Heathrow.(20mts by car).

Fast Turnaround

All repairs are done on site at my fully equipped home workshop so repair waiting times are kept to a strict minimum. Book your instrument in between engagements and I can usually have it returned within 3 working days.  Often instruments can be returned within 24 hours depending on the work required.  Not having the constraints of shop working hours also means I can be fairly flexible with delivery and collection times. 

Please always phone before delivering or collecting your instrument to arrange a convenient time.
